how about a sunshine card?

Good morning!

It is Good Friday and for the first time I can remember my kids are off of school today.

We usually have to use this day as a snow day make-up and since we didn't get hardly any snow this Winter we get to have the day off.

If only Moms really got days off, right?

I love my kids and we have some fun things planned for this Easter weekend.

Today I will share a quick card using a Silhouette cut file and some paper and embellishments from Queen and Company:

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Easter Eggs at

Good morning!

This week we are Bunny Hopping at!

If you want to play along all you have to do is check the blog posts from this week, use the clues given for each day, find all 5 numbered eggs and re-post them in your Facebook or Instagram feed with the tag #noelmignon. One lucky person will win a free May kit!

One of our favorite family traditions at Easter time is dyeing eggs. Each year we each get to do a few and the girls love it- and the bonus is they will actually EAT the eggs after they are done so they don't just go to waste. This particular year Sarah was so excited to try her egg (she can't be more than 3 years old here) that she tried to eat it right through the shell. We coached her a bit and helped her to know what to do. It's hard to remember when it was just these two little girls!

You can see some close-ups and how-to on the Noel Mignon blog today!

Happy Easter!

mixing up the BasicGrey

Good morning again!

For my extra BasicGrey project for this month I created this layout mixing up lots of different collections:

Here I used a BasicGrey Silhouette cut file for the background (found here in the Silhouette online store), saving the deer image to use again at the bottom of the page.

I mixed up the Mon Ami collection with Fresh Cut label stickers, wood die cuts and cardstock stickers.  I also used the Capture Waterfall pack, printed tape and chipboard stickers.

It's always fun to mix things up!

new at Noel Mignon!

I am excited to share that I am now a part of the Noel Mignon kit club design team.

I've been a fan of Noel's kits for years and had the chance to guest design a couple of months ago and was invited to join the team.

With the uncertainty of our upcoming adoption, not knowing how long we will have to wait for a referral, I find myself saying YES to opportunities now since I know that I will soon have to say no to many of them.

Anyway, I have created a layout for today using the April kit, Social Butterfly, which you can find at the Noel Mignon store. I think there are still two left!

I used the circle hearts cut file from Loni Stevens only I duplicated it to create the background.

Oh, since you probably can't read the journaling very well I will share the story behind the title. One day I was tucking Lily in for a nap and told her that I loved her. She said, "I love you, too. You're my sweetie cake." I knew it would be perfect for a page and it was something I wanted to remember about her so this was perfect! I love the sweet little things that kids say.

The paper background is from the Basic Grey Spice Market collection and I used embellishments from Jillibean Soup (orange alpha stickers, Sprinkles wood dots), October Afternoon (journal spot, heart, love stickers), Basic Grey (metal shape), Studio Calico (fabric bow) and American Crafts (cork arrows). The cord and orange fabric tape are from Maya Road.

You can see some close-up shots at the Noel Mignon blog

Thanks for stopping by today!

ready for Summer with Queen and Company

For this past CHA tradeshow, Queen and Company released some fun new paper lines along with all of the new fantastic embellishments.

I created this layout using some of the new Summer Splash papers, new tapes, flowers and Candy Shoppe embellishments:

Is anyone else ready for summer?

I know that we are!

Easter and Pebbles Inc. Garden Party

Good morning!

I am sorry for the lack of posts here lately. Life has been way too busy.

In good news, we got all of our adoption paperwork submitted and now just have to wait. And wait.

And then wait some more :)

Easter is always a fun time for our family. We always have an egg hunt at the park for the kids on Saturday and then celebrate the religious reason for Easter on Sunday.

I  made this layout using the Garden Party collection from Pebbles Inc.

I really liked this blue floral paper, the cute cardstock frames and the pink glitter alphas.

Have a great day!

Each of these took only 5-10 minutes to make.

Isn't the Special Delivery collection adorable?

quick page using Garden Party

Our oldest daughter started piano lessons last Fall and has come such a long way from not knowing the notes to being able to play songs with both hands. She plays better than I can, but I never had lessons. I am so proud of her for her hard work, for not complaining about practicing and for LOVING to work in her theory book. I don't know many kids who enjoy theory as much as she does.

This page was made using the Garden Party collection from Pebbles Inc.

Have a great day!

I have a sick little one so we are taking it easy today.

Maybe I will get some scrappy time :)

Come back tomorrow for some more quick card ideas using Pebbles Special Delivery.

another quick card for today

Good morning!

I have one more quick card to share with you today.

I created this using the Garden Party collection from Pebbles Inc.

I love the idea of being able to create something quickly because it seems that there is just never enough time to really sit down and create for as long as I would like. I am hoping to find some time this weekend.

What do you do when you only have a few minutes to work on a project?

Do you have any tips for working more efficiently?

I'd love to hear them.

I'm back! Quick and easy cards

We got our computer fixed and thankfully it was what we thought, and it was relatively easy to fix.

So, I'm back!!

I wanted to share some quick and easy cards this week so I have a couple of them to share with you today using the Garden Party collection from Pebbles Inc.

All I needed for these cards was the Garden Party cardmaker pad, cardstock shapes, foam adhesive, cardstock and some twine and enamel dots. Each was made in about 5 minutes, which is great when you need a card at the last minute.

Come back tomorrow for some more ideas.
