a couple of things

I don't know about you but this time of year is so busy.

There is school to finish up, concerts and recitals and way too many things to do.

Last week I neglected to share my Noel Mignon kit project so today you get TWO new layouts.

Both of these pages were made using the classic May Noel Mignon kit, Spring Fling.

I apologize for the quality of the pictures.

My camera battery charger has been lost for a while and my battery is dead. I've had to just use my phone to take pictures of my projects lately.

Anyway, here is my layout from last week:

And this week's project:

Best of luck to you as you finish out this month. It is going by so quickly.

Share your sparkle

One of the designer challenges this week at Noel Mignon was to incorporate stars into our project.

And, since today just so happens to be this cute girl's 6th birthday, I had to make sure she was front and center on my page.

In order to follow through with the star challenge I cut some strips of paper and created a big star for the background of my page. After that I added my pictures and lots of chipboard and epoxy accents.

Thanks for stopping by today!

wishes for my kids

For this week's project for Noel Mignon I created this layout using the Let's Get Lost Daily Diary kit for this month.

Since I don't often use the 2"x3" cards in the traditional pocket page way I used the reverse sides to add some color and a mix of patterns to my page.

I added lots of fun dimension and texture using embellisments from the kit, including washi tape, enamel dots, chipboard, a leather embellishment and some ribbon.

Let's Get Lost

Hello again!

Today I have a couple of layouts to share using the April Daily Diary kit from Noel Mignon called, "Let's Get Lost." It has a definite travel vibe to it but it can be used for everyday projects as well.

Here are two pages that I have created so far:

You can visit the Noel Mignon blog for details on how I put these pages together.

Have a great day!!

Happy Heart

For my Noel Mignon project this week I went with a gold and green color scheme because of the upcoming St. Patrick's Day holiday.

This proved to be a little bit challenging since the kit didn't contain a whole lot of green, though there are many beautiful gold accents.

I found what green I could and improvised on some other pieces with my green Heidi Swapp spray mist.

Here is a look at what I created and you can visit the Noel Mignon blog for more details on the assembly.

I hope that you are having a wonderful week so far.

Please come visit again soon ♥

Looking back

One day while looking through old photos on my computer I came across this sweet picture of my youngest daughter and my father-in-law.

Now, typically this might not seem like  much but it is a picture I hadn't seen in a long time, and  one that caught me off-guard since he passed away almost a year ago. It will be a year on the 21st of this month.

I wanted to preserve this special memory and knew that the flowers from the Pink Paislee paper in my Noel Mignon kit for this month would do it the justice it deserved.

Since our project assignment for this week was to create with layers I set out to do just that and this is the layout that I ended up with:

Here are some close-ups of my page:

You can read more about how I created bits of this project by visiting the Noel Mignon blog

Have a wonderful day.

meeting Nadia

Good morning!

Today I have a fun page to share using the new Delightful Classic Kit from Noel Mignon.

My kids and I had the rare opportunity to meet a legend:

We'd gone into the Cox Convention Center for the NCAA gymnastics meet between Oklahoma and Auburn and were going to get in line when one of my girls saw Nadia Comaneci standing by one of the doors to the convention center. We couldn't NOT go talk to her so we went right over and met her and got a picture taken. Not too long after we got in line Nadia came back into the building with Simone Biles and her father. To say that we were a little starstruck is putting it so mildly. It was amazing.

Here are some detail shots from my page:

Have a great weekend!
