my three-ring circus

Hello again!

I have four daughters, aged 3 to 10 and life can be pretty crazy around here sometimes!

I thought this fun picture of three of my girls would work well with the Fancy Pants Everyday Circus collection.

creating everyday pages with Fancy Pants Oh Deer!

Hi again!

It's been a busy few days but now that the kids are back in school I can hopefully get back on a regular schedule. Life is great, and full of so many wonderful things, it's just sometimes hard to keep up with it all.

Today I have another layout created using the Oh Deer! collection from Fancy Pants.

The collection has a holiday vibe to it but the colors and patterns are great for winter projects and everyday ones as well. Here I've used the collection to scrap pictures of my kids after a rare snowfall.

I used some of the brag cards to make my foundation, using one for my journaling as well. I added a couple of tags and a frame as well as some buttons and lots of spray mist.

Our Aimee Girl

This girl is the sweetest you will ever meet.

She doesn't know a stranger and makes a friend wherever she goes. Really.

She is so friendly and kind, always looking out for kids who are being bullied at school.

She is tender-hearted, easily hurt by others but tough on the soccer field ☺

My Noel Mignon "Hey Girl" project for this week features our sweet 7 year old Aimee.

Check the Noel Mignon blog for details on how I created this page as well as some close-up shots.

Have a great day!

Fancy Pants Everyday Circus

If you have been following my blog for very long you know that I like to mix patterned paper.

You also may know that I like to be able to use "themed" collections for everyday pages.

Last week I shared a page using the Oh Deer! collection from Fancy Pants for my daughter's spring dance recital pictures.

Today I will share a layout using Fancy Pants' Everyday Circus collection for a sports page about one of my other kids.

The Everyday Circus line is just that- very circus-themed with animals and balloons and other fun icons but there are lots of things you can use for everyday pages. I really liked the stickers and used a bunch of them here on my page:

This little girl is a fierce competitor and that carries over into all areas of her life. She is determined, she is strong, she is stubborn and she is passionate about what she loves.

We love her so much!

Fancy Pants Burlap & Bouquets

One of the great thing about being snowed in last week (we didn't get tons of snow but the roads were covered in ice so we couldn't go anywhere without skating on the roads) and the kids sleeping in was I got to have some extra time to scrap!

Even though it was vacation for the kids I couldn't sleep in, of course, so I took advantage of the quite time and got lots of Fancy Pants projects done.

I shared one using the Oh Deer! collection yesterday and today am sharing one using the beautiful Burlap & Bouquets line. I added a few gold accents but everything else is from the collection.

One of my favorite parts of this collection are the large tags. I used one for journaling and another as a base for some of the cute stickers.

I like to document the everyday, normal activities and the faster time seems to pass the more I want to capture these seemingly mundane times with family.

Have you scrapped using the Burlap & Bouquets collection?

Leave a link and share so we can all see your work!

Have a fantastic weekend!

playing catch-up with 2014

Since I don't always scrap things in order but instead just grab the picture that fits the mood of what I want to scrap at the time, I have lots of catching up to do. I don't know that I will ever fully catch up and that's okay.

I was scrapping with the Oh Deer! line from Fancy Pants and thought the reds would go great with these spring dance recital pics of my oldest daughter. I added a few touches of gold and a couple of doilies.

I like how the red from the photos pop on the white corrugated paper background.

For the title I used a premade phrase from Dear Lizzy, added some liquid glue and covered the phrase in gold glitter and shook off the extra. I let it dry a bit before adding it to my page.

How do you find time to be creative?

What is your crafty goal for 2015?

Season's Givings Blog Hop

Hello!

Every year I share some of my favorite projects of the year and today I will do the same along with a GIVEAWAY!

I am so happy to have you all here for the blog hop- for those who visit me regularly I thank you for sticking by me even when things were slow around here. For those who are visiting for the first time, thank you. I hope you will see something that you like and that you'll come back and visit again.

I am part of this year's Season's Givings Blog Hop and as such I have something to give away to one of you readers simply for stopping by for the hop. The giveaway, unfortunately, will be open to U.S. residents only because of high shipping costs but I do appreciate each and every one of you. Every person in this year's blog hop will host a giveaway so make sure to check each of the blogs on the list.

For those not familiar with my blog, I am a scrapbooker at heart. My hobby started back in junior high, continued in high school as part of the yearbook staff and has grown to what I do today.  I love my creative time for the chance it is to rejuvenate after a crazy/busy/hard day. I have four girls ages 10, 9, 7 and 3 and sometimes it gets a little crazy around here. I have been blessed to be a part of many design teams for manufacturers and kit clubs and this year have had the chance to guest for some fun companies as well. I've been published in many industry magazines and love the friendships I've formed with other designers around the world.

Here is a list of those involved in the hop:

This is what I am giving away:

There is some ribbon, alpha stickers, chipboard flowers (from Sassafras- my fave!), some tape and brads and twine and other little embellishments, all things I have been holding onto because I couldn't part with it and now YOU can have it. I will also throw in some extras not shown in the pic and you will get a box full of fun embellishments and things to use on projects this year.

Here are a few of my favorite projects from 2014:

I will leave the giveaway open until January 5th at 6pm EST.  Please leave a comment with some way for me to contact you in case you are the winner. I will choose a winner at random from the comments received.

Thank you!

Happy 2015!!
